  1. Assalamu Alaikum all brothers of productive Muslim. Your email articles are really useful and more convenient to read and follow. Inshallah Allah will give you jannah to all of you. Keep it up

    • Wa Alykum AsSalam Imran,
Jazak Allah Khayr. May Allah always use us to help you. Thank you for your feedback, it will always make us improve :)

  2. Assalamualaikum, I think smth that can bring more barakah in our life is making Doa for others does not matter whethter we know people or not as well as the act of thankfulness to Allah swt in first place and to the people involved

    • W alykum AsSalam Yelena,
Masha’Allah your words remind of a prophetic hadith related by Muslim, The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Everytime he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this particular task says: ‘A meen! May it be for you, too'”
Also your advice reminds me of the beautiful ayah in surrah Ibrahim that surely brings barakah to our lives ” And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]” (Qur’an 14:7)

      Jazkaki Allah Khayran :)

    • Yes surely it is a good deed. Thank you for sharing it with us. Insha’Allah anyone reading your comment will start doing this and so it maybe your sadqa Jariyah “reminding people about removing harmful things off the road”
May every one benefit out of your advice :)

  3. Jazakumullahu khair.
An idea I just had is
    (1) getting a bathroom slippers to masjid for people who come in shoes, to use them for ablution. And
    (2) placing a liquid soap at the masjid washroom.
    In sha Allah.

    • Such useful ideas to make the masjids’ bathrooms cleaner. Definitely, the slippers idea will facilitate wudu’ for people. May Allah, praise and glory be to Him, always choose you to help people. Jazak Allah Khayran for sharing your ideas.

  4. Assalamu. Alaikum, recently I gave a little amount of money to a fruit seller to boost his business and every week he remits a certain agreed percentage which I keep, when it’s upto what I gave him then I will give to another small scale enterprise, a microfinance assistance, no hidden charges what so ever, and a loan unknown to him. Like a “pay it forward” kind of thing. Every body benefiting the other.

    • Masha’Allah Ummu Hibba, May Allah, all praise and glory be to Him, reward you for such kindness. Insha’Allah anyone reading this comment will benefit from it and it willl continue to increase your scale of hasanah.
Jazaki Allah Khayran for sharing this with us :)

  5. JazakaAllahu khair may Allah continue to bless you and the entire productive muslim team as you endure to make us better in this life and the hereafter.

    • Jazaki Allah Khayran for your kind words. Alhamdulilah, Allah, all praise and glory be to Him, is the ultimate source of benefit to us in this life and the next. And He delivers benefit to the ones who deserve it. And you are one of them :)

  6. Jazakum Allah Khairun. What about planting trees? Beautifies Allah’s earth, cleans the air, is a home for animals, and inshaAllah will outlive us for a long time. Make sure to say BismAllah when you plant it or when you donate to have it planted.

    • Lovely idea Allahuma Barek. You know that all Allah’s creation does tasbeeh for Him. By planting one, there will be more tasbeeh. Even if its a just watering a flower pot! Jazaki Allah Khayraan for your amazing idea.

  7. Assalamwalaikum..
I like u this article so much… I am very fond of reading article related to our daily life. May Allah bless you for spreading such enormous information with us…
Can u also provide some article on women’s life according Islam..

    • Wa Alykum AsSalam Ilma,
      Jazaki Allah Khayran :)
I personally have read “Women around the Messenger”, its a lovely book that narrates the stories of all remarkable women around the Prophet. I suggest that after reading each chapter stop and reflect about what you have read, ask yourself questions like “What would I have done if I was in her shoes?” “How does this relate to current Muslimahs?” The most important thing is to reflect on what you are reading.
There is also another book called “Ideal Muslimah” this one goes to the details of the muslim woman’s life (I have not read it all, just a disclaimer :D but I think its a good read). Try googling them, I am sure you will find them online.
      Hope this helps :)

  8. Asalam o alikum.
Thank you for such a beneficial article.
I would suggest to make a little corner for kids as well in the masjid like putting some activity stuff to make them busy while moms can pray.

    • Wa Alykum AsSalam Mariam,
I believe your idea is extremely useful to maintain the serenity in the masjed and to help those who pray to have khushu’. Also it will make the kids love going to the masjed as they will find a community there.
Jazaki Allah Khayran for sharing it with us :)

  9. what does “Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar” mean???

    • It means “Our Lord, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of Hell Fire.” It was frequently supplicated by the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)

  10. Jazak Allahu khairan.. Wonderful guidance.. I pray Allah Ta’aala grant us the taufeeq to actually act upon these hasanah and accept them from us.. Allahumma Aameen.

  11. Thank you for the article.
I have a thought about gifting someone a copy of the Qur’an. I feel like many households end up with an unused surplus of Qur’an mushafs because of fellow Muslims’ tendency to give them as gifts. I do agree that it would be an amazing present, but I’d suggest finding someone who needs a copy or someone you’d be sure would appreciate a new one to really maximize the benefit you could get as the giver, and the benefit you give to the recipient of your present. The same thought could apply to the gifting of copies of Surah Yaseen, a common practice where I’m from.

    • AsSalamu Alykum Nadine,
Jazaki Allah Khayran for bringing up this point. I totally agree that we should not be distributing the Qur’an on the go thoughtlessly if we are really considering it to be a sadqa jariyah. Perhaps in your homeland another creative idea would be more suitable. I also come from a country where there is a surplus of hardcopy Qur’an in the houses. But I remember a friend of mine once got me a small Qur’an with a lovely hardcover and I felt it is a unique gift that belongs to me (not the entire house), it encouraged me to read more, to have it always in my bag. Most of the youth now don’t have a direct relationship with the Qur’an, perhaps having a special Qur’an of their own (even if its an app you told them about) may make a difference with Allah’s tawfeeq.
Jazaki Allah Khayran again for sharing your thoughts :) May it be of beneficial use for people.

  12. Volunteer babysit while others attend course.
While babysitting teach deen for kids like stories of prophets, alphabets, Surahs,
    Planting trees
Direct others to goodness, recommend others if capable to better them.

    • Jazak Allah Khayran Saba, I haven’t ever thought of that! So lovely by that we can both do a sadqa jariyah while we are gain the reward for helping the mothers as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) “…Allah helps His slave as long as he helps his brother.” Related by Muslim.
      Thank you Saba :)

    • This is a very beautiful idea and insha-Allah be accepted as sadaqah jarryah.I love to see this in all the masajid instead of having the kids running around even in the baby sitting room!.
      Jazakom Allah khairan Saba.

  13. JAZAK ALLAH KHAIR.VERY NICE ARTICLE. MAY ALLAH, SWT, BLESS THE AUTHOR.

1.THESE DAYS THERE ARE SO MANY ISLAMIC LECTURES & TALKS POSTED ON YOU TUBE. OUR MOSQUES GENERALLY REMAIN VACANT EXCEPT FOR THE PRAYER TIME. IT COULD BE UTILISED FOR FOLLOWING PURPOSES.

THE MOSQUE MANAGEMENT SHOULD ARRANGE FOR A SMALL—20 TO 50 INCH TV SCREEN AND ARRANGE DAILY SHOWING OF ONE SUCH LECTURE/TALK FOR THE WHOLE DAY AT INTERVALS SAY—-1HOUR BEFORE OR 15 MINS AFTER SALAH FINISH TIME. THE PROGRAMME WITH DATES & TIME COULD BE PUT UP ON THE NOTICE BOARD. THE SCREEN MUST BE LOCKED IN A GLASS OR PLASTIC BOX. THE LAP TAP OR COMPUTER TO LOCKED AT SAFE PLACE TO BE OPERATED ONLY & ONLY BY THE MOSQUE STAFF. EVEN IF ONE PERSON WATCHES IT DURING THE WHOLE DAY THE NOS WILL INCREASE OVER TIME & THE SADAQAH JARIAH IS ACHIEVED BY THE DONARS.

    2. SIMILARLY AUDIO CD ARE AVAILABLE OF RECITATION OF QURAN FOLLOWED BY THE MEANING IN LANGUAGES OF THE COUNTRY OR PLACE & ENGLISH. THES COULD BE PLAYED FOR 15 MINS BEFORE EACH SALAH AND 15 MINS AFTER THE SALAH AND REPEATED TWICE OR THRICE BEFORE SALAH & AFTER SALAH. THE SOUND SHOULD BE AUDIBLE ONLY AT SOME BACK CORNER OF THE MOSQUE SO THAT THOSE DOING ZIKR OR PRAYING ARE NOT DISTURBED. MONTHLY PROGRAMME GIVING DETAILS OF THE SURAHS PROGRAMMED FOR RECITATION SHOULD BE PUT UP ON NOTICE SO THAT PEOPLE CAN PLAN THEIR TIME OF LISTENING ACCORDINGLY.

    THANKS

    • May Allah, all praise and glory be to Him, bless you for sharing such beautiful and extremely useful ideas. I wholeheartedly encourage you to implement your idea asap. Remember the winners are those who START implementing!
      Jazak Allah Khayr.

  14. One way of establishing sadaqah jariyyah also is teaching the Arabic language and to help the people in different ages and gender to understand the meaning of the Qran,

    • Jazaki Allah Khayran Om Ibrahim for sharing such a wonderful sadqa jariyah. Teaching the language of the Qur’an and the meaning of it truly has more significance as people can start implementing the teachings of Islam in their lives :)

    • Jazak Allah Khayran, this makes our entire team delighted for that is our purpose. May Allah always use us to inspire others, I am sure you inspire others too :)

  15. AAssalamualaikum.hope this also will be a part of sadqa jariya.many children who want to be hafiz dont have the means to study.by helping them become huffaz we can earn hasanah.Alhumdulillah I have adopted two students .May Allah Subhanawataala accept our intention and our deed.

    • W Alykum AsSalam wa Rahmatullah wa barakatuh, Allahuma barek. This is my dream job masha’Allah to help people learn the Quran, the ultimate word of God, all praise and glory be to Him.
Jazak Allah Khayran for sharing it with us.

  16. Assalamalaikum wa rahmatullahe wa barakatahu, Masha Allah a very valuable reminder. Jazak Allah khairan for this significant contribution.

    • Wa Alykum asSalam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,
Jazak Allah Khayran for your kind words. May Allah accept it from us.

  17. Masha Allah .The article was wonderful.I have read about this earlier but this was kind of a reminder. And everytime people say about sadaqqa tul jariyya they say build a masjid but I say build a Islamic school and teach people to pray .I strongly feel scholars just emphazise on people building masjids instead of actually educating them need to pray and most importantly how to pray with Khushoo and kuzho.Thats why there is a masjid in every corner of the street but no ppl in them. I am not opposing ppl building masjids but my point is building masjids is not the only form of saddatul jarriyah.

    • Salam alykum Afsheen,
I totally agree with you that some areas have a lot of masjeds but very few people worshipping Allah, all praise and glory be to Him, in the masjed. That’s why teaching the deen is always more superior than just building a masjed. However, in some areas around the world, you may not find a masjed although there are Muslims and this is always problematic because Muslims there will not find a community that revives Islam. What I mean to say the best sadaqa Jariyah depends on the circumstances and the needs of his/her community.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts :)

  18. Aoa I ‘ve finished my course of qurani understanding in Urdu which was of two and half year and now I was very confused when where to start ….I mean teaching quran to ladies but after reading your article I m boosted a lot and planning to start teaching my own very soon IA.

    • Allahuma Barek! This makes me so delighted! May Allah, all praise and glory be to Him, guide you and be with you in every step you take. Insha’Allah this will be the best Sadqa Jariyah for you :)
Jazaki Allah Khayr for sharing this with us.

  19. Jazakallah for those beautiful tip and most of them easy to do to increase our reward. May Allah SWT reward the Productive Muslim team for guiding the ummah of Prophet Muhammad SAW .

    • Jazaki Allah Khayran for your kind words and lovely duaa. May Allah, all praise and glory be to Him, multiply your rewards for every good deed you do and give you barakah in your time and scale of hasanah :)

  20. Absolutely an enlightening article. Jazakallah khair for helping us to be straightened up and to be firm on this Deen. These articles help us to chase away the waswas of our open enemy, alhamdulillah. Good company even though its virtual is a must to maintain our balance spiritually, emotionally economically etc alhamdulillah for the good side of social media.

    • Jazak Allah Khayr for your kind words Fathima. We truly appreciate it. May Allah, all praise and glory be to Him, always use us to serve this deen.

  21. Thank you to create this website! I can’t stop reading. This is really really good things to read and learn lots of good deeds. I will recommended my kids to read

    • Jazak Allah Khayr. May Allah always use us to help you. Thank you for your kind words, may Allah accept it from us :)

  22. Alhamdulillah alladzi bi ni’matihi tatimmu ash-shalihaat. Nice article. Jazakillah khair.
It reminds me that someone told me to do dzikr everytime because dzikr is a ‘second pray’, we can do this each second in our life, whereas other are daily (eg. 5 times pray), or monthly (shaum sunnah ayyamul-bidh), or yearly (shaum Ramadhan and Hajj). To remind daily dzikr in a week, we can manage the dzikr for each day, eg. Ahad-Istighfar, Mon-hamdalah, Tue-laa hawla…illa billah, and so on. So we remember what dzikr on that day and try to supplicate it a whole day, every second.
Wish our short time in this dunya more beneficial and Allah Swt give us barakah. Aamiin.

  23. Assalaamu Alaikum

    My ideas of gaining tsawab:

1 Keeping a water cup near window/balcony/terrace for birds/animals to drink water from.

2 Usually people try feeding the poor.. Which is admirable Masha Allah.. if we could give the poor n needy a bottle of water too, it wud be humble I guess.

I pray Allah Ta’aala choose us to strive for His sake.. And accept our deeds, placing them in our right hands. Allahumma Aameen.

  24. Bism Allah…

    Salaam alaikom,

Barak Allah feeki sister Heidi and the productive muslim team for an encouraging and inspiring article yet again. May Allah reward you all for your deeds and ours too ie the comentators for participating…etc.

I pray the following may also be a form of sadaqqa jariah for me too, like for the rest of us too. Ameen.

I personally would recommend for starters an overthrowing of the mosque committes. (Smiling face). Apologies bad joke! …

May Allah accept the following of the words and time i spent in doing such and also a recompense of my wasted previous and if to come wasted moments. Ameen.

    I would like to put forward;

    1) worshipers at mosques to speak amongst themselves and choose from amongst themselves repesentives to approarch the committees and ask and try to implement greater change…etc.

    a) ask to be involved in commitees meetings and if meetings do not happen, then try to implement such on a periodical time frame and obviously in times of need. Al-hamdullah we are ummat of al-shura ie true democracy (if that word actually means that).

    b) issues of the community to be disscussed, whether muslim or non…etc. set up of surgeries for help to be offered (especially deen issues), for sign posting to services, self development programs to be set up…etc. and of course lecture programmes during the week. As br. Mohammed mansour mentioned too, audio talks etc also as they have in countries example egypt …a section where audios/books can be borrowed…etc.

Also some mosques have notice boards for lectures in and around surrounding areas. Also, accomodation and job adverts or any form of assistance, as the respected dear author mentioned the hadith of the Beloved (SAW) as to Allah being in the aid of a person if in aid of others…etc.

As sisters Mariam and Saba mentioning the creches for our little ones, ma sha Allah lovely idea. Are there any other ideas we as a community could do to make the hidden treasure of iman and islam more appealing to our youth ie as to bring them closer to the mosque and community and off the streets…etc?

Dawah tables for non muslims out side of the mosques? Or as mentioned above posters in the mosque…how about outside of it? …obviously, as like in all everything needs to be discussed with the community elders, especially where we are all based..etc, as to not arouse unwanted feelings in those with in our community but not under the flock of the muslims as of yet but we pray for ourselves and then them to be apart of the haqq in sha Allah.

With the above volunteering or even non volunteering positions for those whom wish to undertake anything productively and for the sake of the Ghani the Self Sufficient…etc. Also, charity ventures for the other same causes (ie other organisations) and also fund raising days for the mosque in question and also the other same causes…etc.

I beg you pardon for over writing, as saddiqqa jariah was mentioned, and after reading the article, i was quite down personnaly before that, so as if the last moment for any of us may come or not at any given time, i hastened to write …etc .

    IstigfirALLAH min kul zanb.

May Allah purify mine first mostly and all our intentions. Because we all stand alone on that day, except the akhla..ie those who love one another solely for Allah’s sake.

May Allah accept and as not to go over board and i apologize for that, albeit, love you all for His sake.

As seeds and trees were also mentioned above, i just wished to shate a sentence of ” those who plant trees, truly do have love for others besides themselves”.

    Surat al-asr.

Peace and blessings on our Beloved sayidna Muhammed.

  25. Bism Allah…
    Salaam alaikom,

    *correction*….as to share.

I heard a blessed sheik mention something about the problem of having too much passion and its advantages and not…etc. i can not unfortunately recall the whole meaning of that subject of passion…etc. with that said, i pray that Allah rewards you all, as after reading this article, it has re-sparked my own passion in a way. Jezakom Allah kul khair dunyia w akhirah. Ameen.

Whether we are miles from no where…al hamdullah we are all going somewhere ( either way) so i pray we all go to the al firdaws al alaa. Ameen. Apologies for mentioning of a song, but there is also another line in a song , but i can not recall, that comes to mind of teaching how to share…etc. so as to the above and the articles on this blessed website, a big thank you on the behalf of myself and all of us that continue to visit the site. Jezakom Allah khairan khair al jazaa. Ameen.

As to the subject at hand, i came across mosques that do football teams and even walk days…etc. it would be nice to see that more in other mosques and other activities, even lunch/dinner and cup of tea days, apart and outside of Ramadan…as to induce and solidate bonds of communty spirit and friendships…etc. And like someone mentioned above feeding the homeless. trips and retreats. Dawah training…etc. visiting the alone and elderly…etc.

As to the meetings and just to stress its importance…etc. meetings of also of locality mosques ie periodically meetings of those..etc. And also with inter-faith, which goes on already al-hamdullah. football or other competetions between mosques…etc.

    Surveys of what is needed.

Most of the stuff mentioned is probably happening already, but as an average worshipper we are ignorant of what is happening or is not…just praying ..talking for a bit and then …gone.

Collection of mosque websites on each cities’ communtiy ummah hub?

Like it is said ” act locally…. , think globally…”

Personally i talk and do not walk. So may Allah forgive me and forgive us all. Ameen.

Apologies. Al-taani min Allah and hastiness is from myself and satan. So if just as a reminder, enough is admonishment of one self. I apologise again if any of what i wrote has been taken in the wrong way or comes across as bitter in anyway or such.or even ego..perhaps it is….either way IstigfirAllah wa atoob elayhe. And may He accept.ameen.

Hamdullah to the Lord of the worlds.

    Peace unto you.

  26. Removing of unwanted object on the road it also brings barakat, providing shelters (support) to IDPs in their camp is also bring Barakat

  27. Masha Allah, Shukran for this well written article. I will compile notes from it to share in women’s gatherings in sha Allah. Another source of sadaqah jaariah is helping in the construction of Wells, be it in mosques or rural communities. Also keeping cool bottles of water in your car and passing them out to construction workers, labourers and street people ( on hot days) earns one good deeds. Another is volunteering at orphanages, read kids stories, teach them wudhu etc.
Visiting the sick in hospital, praying for them, comforting them earns a person immense rewards. Sorry for the long comment :)

  28. AssalamuAlaikum,
Mashallah these seem to be good ideas to try for this month including Shaaban and Ramadan.
Thanks for the practical acrionable ideas. J.A.K. May Allah benefit you in dunya and akhira.

    • Jazana w eyakum Maryam, make sure to share it with friends and remember “the winners are those who start implementing” :)

  29. Some ideas I had:
*A Fajr telephone chain or text chain to remind others to wake up for Fajr
*If one has performed Hajj or Umrah already and has the means, to sponsor another eligible person to complete Hajj or Umrah
*To facilitate donating to Muslim causes easily by Apps and Websites and provide updates on projects so donors continue interest in these projects that need help
*Food meal trains for sisters who have given birth, death in the family, those who are sick
*Excess food from events are packed and distributed to shelters or those in need
*Donating a used in good condition car if one is able to do so

    • Beautiful ideas Jazaki Allah Khayran really!
I personally never thought of some of these, insha’Allah we can work on them.
