  6. Assalamu Alaikum,
Jazkhillah khair for such an apt and deep article. Subhanallah! how TRUE patience translates into gratitude to our Beloved Creator (SWT). I have learnt that true patience is a state that in the times of trials, you are at peace and very contented knowing that Allah is with you all the way. When the trials are over, the next depth is profound gratitude for what you’ve found from your Lord; for bringing you to the point that you are in your life and allowing you to remember Him and be grateful to Him. All in all, if you are able to patient and content in times of trials and be grateful when its over, count yourself most blessed by the Most Merciful.
Also, I think having the material things we covet is the greatest of trials in life; it breeds all the vices that evokes Allah’s wrath. Thus, one has to continuously seek refuge from what we own so it doesn’t end up destroying the bond we have nurtured with Al-Wadud (The Most Loving).

    • True, masha’Allah. Great reflections. May Allah reward you and benefit you with this knowledge. AlhamdulAllah.

  7. Jazakum Allahu Khayran! Well thought and written! I really needed to hear this! Subhan Allah wa bihamdih, Subhan Allah Alatheem! May Allah help us all have a better attitude towards everything that He bestows upon us. Amen!

    • Yes, please, share it with the people around you and anyone you think needs this. May Allah [swt] reward you and continue you to increase you in knowledge and wisdom and desire to help those around you. Ameen.

      http://productivemuslim.com/patience-productivity-and-hardship/
      http://productivemuslim.com/can-patience-boost-productivity/

  19. Jazakallahu khair my beautiful sister in lslam. May Allah increase your knowledge. this is my first time of reading and subscribing to this and you have made my day. God bless you.

    • Jazana w’yakuk my beautiful sister. Barak Allahu Feeki, and you have made my day with your beautiful comment and kind words. AlhamdulAllah who benefitted you and me.

  20. Mashaallah, quite enlightening and perfect understanding, it made me crystal clear the main purpose of our life in this world. May Allah SWT bless you with the best in this world and hereafter – Aameen.

    • AlhamdulAllah. I’m eternally grateful to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala who gave you this clarity. AlhamdulAllah.

  21. Amazing article. I read it yesterday, and had to read it again today. Please write more articles like this.
It is well written, easy to understand, and completely refreshing. JazakAllahu khair.

  22. JazakAllah Khair and thank you for putting the time and effort to write this article. It was really beautiful and eye opening!

  23. Alhamdulilahi, this article came at the right time, it really matches my present situation, jazakumullahu khairan, am expecting the part 2.

  24. Can you please post a dua asking Allah to grant us wisdom?
MashaAllah such a productive article n I’m blessed to read it n it wud b a blessing too if I got to apply this in my sinful life.

    • My sister/brother, please don’t call yourself ‘lost’. You are not lost at all, I promise. You have a heart that is obviously humble and you clearly have a desire to develop and grow and apply all that is good and pure in your life. AlhamdulAllah, you are ‘blessed’, you are not ‘lost’. :)

So long as you are seeking Allah [swt], and your heart is directed to Him and you ask for His guidance and forgiveness and try as much as you can… then alhamdulAllah, this is a blessing.

I want to remind you of this:

“Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Allah, the Exalted, has said: ‘O son of adam, I forgive you as long as you pray to Me and hope for My forgiveness, whatever sins you have committed. O son of ‘Adam, I do not care if your sins reach the height of the heaven, then you ask for my forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of ‘Adam, if you come to Me with an earth load of sins, and meet Me associating nothing to Me, I would match it with an earthload of forgiveness.”‘
      [At- Tirmidhi].

How can you give up after reading this?

And I want to remind you of this:

“Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” [Qur’an: Chapter 39, Verse 53]

So, have hope, have hope, have hope. AlhamdulAllah, Allah led you to read something that is beneficial to you and encouraged you to be better, so alhamdulAllah, He wants goodness for you, and He is helping you and He is Near, so Near to you! So, ask Him directly for all what you want. Ask Him in whatever language and whatever way you want. Just ask sincerely and He will respond. I promise.

Now, for the wisdom dua’, I would suggest you directly ask Allah to grant you wisdom, as simple as that, but be honest, and persistent and sincere, and most definitely Allah will help.

If you want to follow the blessed prophet’s beautiful dua’s, then this is one of them:

It was narrated from Umm Salamah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) performed the Subh (morning prayer), while he said the Salam, he would say:

‘Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds).’”
This is a beautiful dua’. Insha’Allah this will help.

Just direct your heart to Allah [subhanahu wa ta’ala] ask for His forgiveness, ask Him to help you be better for yourself and for everyone around you, ask Him to help you follow the beautiful teachings of His Messenger Muhammad [peace and blessings upon him], ask Him to grant you the best in this world and the next, insha’Allah… just you asking and having this open heart dialogue with Him is an immense blessing. And He will most definitely Help you insha’Allah!

“And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.” [Qur’an: Chapter 2, Verse 186]

      AlhamdulAllah.

      Salam alaykum.

  25. Assalaamu alaikum dear sister. A kind reminder to build up our imaan.May Allah azza wa jalla bless you.

  26. Asakm sr.mashaAllah, you have been gifted with such a great blessing.Alhamdulillah, you have a wonderful way of writing.please pray for me .

    • My sister, I will pray for you insha’Allah, and I want to remind both of us of this beautiful dua’ that Prophet Muhammad [peace and blessings upon him] taught us:

“(O Allah, I ask You for all that is good, in this world and in the Hereafter, what I know and what I do not know. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from all evil, in this world and in the Hereafter, what I know and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your slave and Prophet has asked You for, and I seek refuge with You from the evil from which Your slave and Prophet sought refuge. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed, and I seek refuge in You from Hell and from that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed. And I ask You to make every decree that You decree concerning me good).”

    • What a beautiful, heartfelt comment! Subhan Allah! “And [Allah] brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.” (Qur’an. 8: 63)

Very grateful to Allah [subhanahu wa ta’ala] who brings together the hearts of all those who believe in Him and seek Him. Indeed no one can place such love and compassion and closeness in our hearts towards one another like He does, and it is all for Him and because of Him.
