  1. Assalamualaikum. Simply love this article. Not only is it motivating but also gives a lot of practical tips to make the best use of these days. JazakAllah khairan katheran!

  2. Salam alaikum, thank you a lot for the beneficial compilation of information regarding the blessed days. I just have a question regarding the Quran-Vers you bring up in the introduction: did the Quran commentators relate these “ten nights” to Dhul Hijjah? How can we know it’s not the ten (last) nights of Ramadan?

    • Wa Alaikum Asalaam. There is a difference of opinion as many notable Qur’an commentators go for either opinion that it refers to either the last ten nights of Ramadan or the first ten of Dhul Hijjah. It could even refer to both. Both of these opinions are valid showing that both the last ten of Ramadan and the first 10 of Dhul Hijjah are very special indeed. Therefore we should worship Allah abundantly on both these auspicious occasions.

    • Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

The last 10 nights of Ramadan are the best 10 NIGHTS of the year.

The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are the 10 best DAYS of the year.

      And Allah [swt] knows best.

  11. Tomorrow (Thursday 25th Sept) the first of the 10 Best days of the year begins.

The Prophet (Sallahu Alaihi Wassalam) has said regarding these Blessed days:

“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these 10 days…(Al-Bukhari)

These 10 days & nights possess tremendous blessings and excellence so we should plan to spend them in intense worship.

It is recommended to fast the first 9 days particularly the day of Arafat – 9th Dhul Hijjah which is on Friday the 3rd of October.

During these days and nights It is Sunnah to recite takbeer – Allahu Akbar. Tahmeed – Alhamdulillah and tasbeeh – SubhanAllah.

Any questions then please do not hesitate to ask.

  12. Jazakallahu khayr, May Almighty Allaah grant us the wisdom to maximise the benefit of this ten days of Dhul hijja. I’ll use this opportunity to inform our brothers nd sister to be prayerful please especially regarding the current situation in middle east, Africa nd other muslim living countries. we should please fear Allaah nd repent, each nd everyone one of us will face Allaah on the day of judgement answering queries regarding ourselves. On top of that it has even more special significance as it has fallen on the best day of the week – Jummah.
