  1. Assalam o Alaikum
I am not ready for Ramazan becausee of my anxiety and ocd.I had lot of difficulties in previous Ramazan. And in this year i found it difficult to be on Saum.

    • Salam! InshaAllah Fasting will help you stay consciously patient. I have anxiety too and I take prescription medicine for it. I find it that while in fasting it becomes easy to stay patient because I am consciously aware that I’m doing it for Allah swt. It can be very challenging but just keep reminding yourself that you’re doing this for Him and He will hear you and make it easy for you inshaAllah!!

      • Nredya but i have too much that in past Ramadhan ij every clock i have a doubt of break my Roza.Nowadays it is mostly updated.

        • Brother, first and foremost you need to understand that it is the waswas of Shaytaan who is trying to trouble you to the core. It is that cursed creature which instills in us all these doubts of “I think my wudu has broken”, “I think my fast has broken”, “I think my salah is not valid” etc etc. Now, imagine brother, If I tell you a weak guy is standing outside your door waiting to beat you up as soon as you open it, wont you gear up to fight him? Wont you challenge him and think of all ways to bring him down? SubhanAllah, we do!
And this is a weakling too, the shaytaan. Allah says “Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.” [4:76]. Satan’s ultimate goal is to make people go astray and eventually to turn them into disbelievers, or polytheists at a minimum. The manner in which Satan pursues that goal varies in accordance with the interests and inclinations of his victims. For example, he uses piety to attack the pious; scholarly disciplines to attack scholars; false reasoning and logic for those who take pride in being knowledgeable, and ignorance to attack the ignorant. Satan works on a common human weakness. So brother, you are the one who can defeat if you want. Do your wudu perfectly with concentration and that’s it!! Be sure that’s its done, its valid and free yourself of all doubts. When a doubt creeps it, imagine slapping the satan hard with your Faith. ALLAH said its a weak enemy, how else can we not defeat it?! Perform all your deeds with concentration and just stop thinking about it after that.
You don’t want satan to take advantage of this and prevent you from amazing things such as Salah and Saum. Do NOT let yourself fall prey. Fight against it and YOU CAN. Because Allah said so :)

PS: I suffered from OCD all my childhood and this advice to you is from my personal learning and experience. Alhamdulillah, I don’t suffer from OCD anymore.

    • Alhamdulila, this year I got to know about productive Muslim. Thank u all for all ur hard work. May Allah(swt) reward u greatly. You make it possible that this year’s Ramadan will be better than last year’s. Inshallah. I started to use charts to find out which prayer I missed or delayed the most in the month of Rajab. Now all my family members want to join me and have a chart for them. Alhamdulila! I wrote down my goals and easy ways to
reach it. I’m going to start my Ramadan cleaning this week. My daughter cannot wait to write down what she need to eat for suhoor and Iftar. Your article about volunteering helps me to organize my free time in the most efficient way. Thank you again.

    • Salam br Azam,
Hope this reach in the best of health and emaan. There are many resources online on how to deal with OCD, if you can’t deal with it on your own then I would highly recommend to get in touch with this brother: http://www.shifa.ca/

My advice to you is that you should start working towards curing it asap and completely get rid of it.
