  1. Walaikum assalam Hmm I like the article and the purpose of the bootcamp I want to know when it will be organised if possible insha allah I will participate in this boot camp

    Jazzakallah hu khair

    Arbiya Sultana

  2. Assalaamu alaikum!

I think designing new behaviors for laziness is a really clever idea – I never thought of it before. I’m thinking of new behaviors for myself, like for studying and not wasting too much time on social media.
I’ve done the social challenge so far, still need to do spiritual and physical. 😊

  3. Salaam, I have done the physical by avoiding sugar is but not the social and spiritual.

To help me wake up in the morning I will place my cell phone charger closer to the bathroom so I have to get out of bed.

  4. I have done all three challenges today. The design for laziness is amazing. I’ve found appblock really helps, it blocks your apps at the time you set and the effort of finding a charger and unblocking them to carry on wasting time is more effort than its worth.
I’ve also found reading surahs you’ve memorized while doing chores/commuting is a good way read surahs (especially surah milk, yaseen etc) since you don’t have to get your Quran out you can just about read them anywhere.
Jazakillah khair for this series, it’s been incredibly useful for me

  5. Assalamu Alaykum!

Managed to complete all 3 challenges for day 1. Alhamdulillah. Now on day 2 and so far so good.
Another great podcast. The concept of building behaviours and habits to fit laziness is such a simple yet effective concept! Other examples can include; reciting surahs or listening to surahs on your commute or if you have a desk job, just slip you earphones in and listen to some podcasts/ Quran tafseer. Placing the Quran on a shelf that will be in your vision following salaah, this way you can read a small segment after each salaah.

    JazakaAllahu Khayr!

  6. Assalamualikum,
With regards to distractions, I have an app called “self control” on my laptop which blocks a list of websites for you for a stated amount of time. it will not allow you to access those on safari or google chrome AT ALL during that time even if you restart your computer. i find adding social media websites to the list while i work helps me get less distracted.

with regards to the the challenges, I’m finding it quite difficult to maintain the spiritual one. I chose the azian in the morning and evening and somehow i either forget/ or get busy with something else and then its too late. working on it in sha Allah.

    Jazakum Allahu Khairan

  7. The 3 Bootcamp challenges: 1. Spiritual- trying my best 2. Physical: finding it a bit difficult 3. Social- trying my best.

    The habits to overcome laziness:

I’ll try and take baby steps and try n do little bit at least. Like getting on the treadmill for just 10 minutes a day.

They say , people can move mountains just by moving stones … or something like that 😊

  8. Assalam o alaikum,
For challenge 3 tasks, iam still struggling with physical one.
for laziness, I tried to do dua/ zikr while using stairs/elevator.
    Jizakil Allah khair
