  1. Jazakillah khairan! This was really helpful. As a Mom of 3 kids with no help, house chores can seem endless and frustrating! Will try your tips too.

  2. Jazak Allahu khair for the article. Most articles are geared towards the working individual. I have eagerly been waiting for Productive articles for mums. May Allah (swt) reward you for all your efforts.

  3. Asalaam alaykum. Nice articles for those mothers and the one like me who waiting to be blessed with Nikkah first and then inshaAllah to be a mom. If there you have kids the home can’t be clean & organize? It is just a matter of arranging yourself I have no any experience but I think you can organize your home even if you have 7 kindergarten kids.

    JazakaAllah Khayr

  4. Jazaki allah khayr, Sister Sumaira!

At some point I felt that I was spending ALL of my time in the evenings just making dinner and washing dishes. Before I changed any habits or made any plans I recorded my time using this log which asks you to record what you do for a week or a few weeks every 15 minutes: http://lauravanderkam.com/books/168-hours/manage-your-time/
I found that I was actually only spending, on average in a typical week, only 20 minutes a day cleaning dishes! That didn’t seem so bad! Now I can happily devote those 20 minutes or so to a clean kitchen and then spend time with family. I suggest we all do this (and so does Abu Productive!!!) so that we truly understand where our weaknesses and strengths lie. Often we complain of having to do things “all the time,” when reality may be different.
All the best to all the mothers and fathers and productive parents out there! May Allah guide us and our children to the best. Ameen.
    Peace,
    Sister Mary

  5. Thank u for the tips. i find it easier to clean in the evening or @ night when the kids are in bed. With Allah’s Rahma i didn’t listen to any taboo forbidding cleaning @ night.

    • Assalamu alaikum,
I also heard that we sholudn’t clean and wash dishes at night, but never find any hadith or so, speaking anything similar.
Does any of you find it (or anything similar)?
      Jazakallahukhair

  6. Assalamu Alaikum Sister,

Jazakallahu Khairan for posting such a useful article. Its very worthy. However; could you please include articles that will be helping working muslimah as well.

May allah bless you and your family..

  7. Jazak Allah khair. I don’t really have much to add except that the children could also be given small chores to do from time to time depending on their age. Otherwise i trhink you’ ve said it all.

  8. Helpful tips MashaAllah will follow them when I grow up InShaAllah
Would someone please share some tips on how to behave in a co-education school.
    JazakAllah

  9. Jazakillahu khayran for this tip, as a new mother have been trying to get tips on how to keep my home tidy. In shaa Allah I will try to tailor these tips to my own need.

  10. Jazakallah Khair for this very helpful and informative post! I’m not a mom but I can Inshallah definitely use these tips to help organize my room and Inshallah make my mom happy (because sometimes complains about my room being messy :) )

  11. This is such a planned life, you have made all my fears about the future’s responsibility much easier and actually i’m eager to try it soon… But unfortunetly i’m still in collage so when the time comes i’ll go back to this article :) barak allahu feeki

  12. A clean and tidy house is refreshing for the eyes, reflects the savoir faire of the mistress of the house and receives the rahmat and baraka of Allah through His Angels.

With the help of Allah and asking dua, nothing is impossible even though we have little kids, being a working mom and having the house cores to do also.

  13. Thank you. This is so helpful. As a mother of two boys i am always struggling every day to make things work as planned. Sister, could you also give us some good recipes for the family? I started learning how to cook just after marriage. I really need some tips on how, and how long that cooking can be stored on the fridge so I won’t end up staying hours every day in the kitchen.

  14. Alhamdulillah I came across your useful article at the right time. My family & I just moved hundred miles away from our previous home, because of job transfer. And you can imagine how messy our new home is. Now is the time for me to get the boost, to get my home organised, slowly, step by step. Thank you sister!
