  1. Jazakallah Khair sister for this simple but eye-opening reminder! May Allah give you the best in this world and the next and May He make it easy for us all to strive for the Akhirah!

  2. Salam alikoum,  ALLAHOUMA JAZAK 3ALA your posts ! I am so please and it is very reconforted to me to read what you write. So thank you very much for your done.

  3. Jazakallah khair, It’s very enlightening article. But still everything is bogged up in my mind. I am not able to visualise how can we become productive in terms of understanding and learning Islam along with our worldly matters. I feel lack of time to do everything.

Take for example praying 5 times a day, going everytime to masjid(obligatory for males) for the prayers, especially during office hours. Lot of time is consumed travelling. Though masjid is at a walking distance from office but when you’re in mid of some work, preparing yourself mentally and leave for Namaz and then coming back to start again where we left our work. This whole takes atleast 45 mins for every Namaz. Adding to it the duration between Asr and Maghrib is so less that as soon as we reach office we have to go back within an hour.

I’m ofcourse not complaining. Alhamdulillah, I utterly believe and there is no doubt in what I’ll be blessed with, in hereafter. But still I feel lack of time. I get frustated.

This was only for Namaz which is mandatory, there is Quran to read, gaining knowledge about living a life as a true Muslim, reading such articles to get inspired and motivated, etc.
Now leaving spiritual side, we have to stay updated with the latest trends of our work, social networking, hanging out with friends, going on outings with family, gyming, reading, some extra activities on weekends etc. etc. These are some of the basic things mostly every one does.

I feel like I’m going just with the flow, not giving any special attention to improve me deeds. I feel like, I lack something. My brain keeps on wandering. I think of doing lot of good deeds to improve my hereafter but somehow am not able to begin. For example I sometime think of giving a charity but end up not giving. How should a person with such a state of mind, sort out his daily life.

P.S. After reading this comment, you might have understood how confused one can be. Beginning from somewhere and ending in nowhere. This is not only MY state of mind, I’ve come across a lot of people like this who are frustrated and want some change, but how? They know what needs to be done, what will benfit them, but end up going with the herd.

    • Assalamu alykum brother, it sounds like you are worried and feel inadequate about your deeds in this dunya.

You may feel insufficient but remember that Allah is sufficient for us. Make dua about all the things which bothers you. Indeed Allah is the Hearer and Knower of all things.

I think you can still make a dua in your heart if you cannot go to the Masjid for salaah, Allah knows that which is in your heart.

      Ma’salaama

  5. Really? 4 rakaat before dhuhr? I was taught that it’s 2 rakaat beforr dhuhr and asr. This is pretty unreliable.
However, I like the tips and the information. I prefer not to follow them but to enhance it in my own ways.

    • Assalaamu alaikum Alisa,

You can pray 2 as well. However, the hadith indicates 4 before Dhuhr as being part of those 12 sunnah rakats of the day – which if one prays – Allah will build a house for him/her in Jannah, in sha Allah.

So for that, you’d need to pray 4. Otherwise, you can pray 2 as well.

      Hope this helps clarify. :)

Assalamu Alaikum Umme Kulsum, just came across this post of yours. Please pray and ask for Allah’s guidance before you make your decision . Permit me to also advise that you are able to do both and would probably give much more to the Muslim Ummah if you are a Medical Doctor. This is especially true if you are female (guessing you are from the name) – the Ummah is in dire need of female Doctors. May Allah guard and guide you always and may He help you to fulfil your dream of educating the world about the beauty of the true Islam, ameen.

  7. Masha Allah. Very nice article. This really opening our eyes. We are busy with worldy matter accumulating materialistic wealth. Busy, earning more and more.

May Allah give us strength to do more and more good deeds.

  8. Jazak’Allahu khairan dear sister. This article really helped me! May Allah give you the highest rank in jannah. I also pray that Allah rectifies the state of our ummah and unites us all upon the Quran and sunnah. Amern.

  9. You just said it all,the funny thing is that most of us know about this reality of the duniya and akhaira, but always fall victims of desiring the duniya more and take the heareafter lightly.May Allah grant us jannah by His mercy, for if not for His mercy none of us will enter it.In one of the Hadiths of the prophet it was reported that when Allah created paradise He ask angel Jibril to go and look at it, when He returned He said, whoever hear about it will love to enter, then Allah surrounded it wit difculties and the Angel was ask to go check it again, when He returned He said He fear that no one will enter it. When Allah created the hellfire,Angel jibril to go and look at when He returned, He said, no who ever hear about it except will hate to enter it.then Allah surround it the luxury of this dunya and the Angel was ask to go and take a second look.when return He said,oh my lord i fear that no one will excape it. So by mercy only we will overcome these dificulties,By his mercy alone we will succed to the promised House(jannah). May make us, our families and the whole muslim ummah the beneficiary of His mercy

    • This world is so deceptive as all the evil is sugar coated, making it double as difficult to come closer to Allah. As Muslims, we to fall in this trap but inshallah Islam will become the most populous religion and all countries will adhere to true Sharia Law; no room for the shaytan

    • Wa alaikum as salam brother. You follow your right path in polite words you mind your job and your business. Your salary is for your efforts not for being a reporter of good or bad around you . Allah verily is watching you and the company and your friend and everybody. You don’t have to interfere in his matters or company. Period. You don’t have to exert your mind further.

  11. I’m gonna make a schedule now, and fit all my prayers, Quran, and those 12 sunnah rakahs mentioned here. Last time I tried to do this, I only played video games completely ignoring the schedule (no, I didn’t ignore prayer), but that won’t happen this time…
