We live in an increasingly negative and distracted world. We are not able to focus, and we get triggered by negative feedback easily.
Many of our responses are reactionary and not based on conscious thinking and this impacts our productivity, performance, and well-being.
As Muslims, we know that consciousness, awareness, and mindfulness of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (i.e. Taqwa) is at the heart of our faith. Yet, many of us lack the practical skills to practice Taqwa in order to regulate our emotions and redirect negative thinking towards calmness and contentment, especially in our VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world.
The Mindfulness Masterclass will help you develop the practical knowledge and skills to regulate your emotions and feel empowered, present, and have more peace of mind across all areas of your life.
Not sure if this class is for you? Take the Mindfulness Assessment to find out.
Each week, you'll go over a specific aspect of the H.E.A.R.T. Model of Mindfulness developed by Wadud Hassan.
Shifting from living in autopilot to intentional living.
From mindfulness of God سبحانه وتعالى to deep awareness and actualization of your purpose in life. How to develop the resilience—that's connected to excellence, optimism, and affirmation of faith and prayer—to achieve your goals.
Evolving from mindfulness to being grateful to the Bestower. Linking gratitude to neuroscience, productivity, and peak performance.
How to rise beyond the challenges of this world by welcoming and regulating difficult emotions. Discovering our internal selves. Exploring your strengths, weaknesses, and triggers.
How mindfulness, awareness, and deep connection to The Most Merciful God سبحانه وتعالى fuels the way we show up and connect with the world - starting with family. Overcoming the stresses of interpersonal relationships, communication, and leadership.
Wadud combines his science-backed research on Mindfulness with traditional Islamic knowledge to deliver a unique program that is experience-driven, practical, and spiritual.
This program is not about theory. It's about the practical application of Mindfulness Practice in your life.
The program is grounded in Islam and leverages the latest in Mindfulness research and science.
Each week you'll be given practical tools to integrate this Masterclass in your journey.
Wadud is the founder of Mindfulness Matters Leadership Institute (www.mindfulnessmatters.us), a Mindfulness & Emotional Intelligence based leadership and character development program to empower people and organizations with tools for personal, professional, and organizational transformation.
Wadud and his wife Leiya also co-founded Define 360 (www.define360.online), a Faith-based and experiential Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence program for Muslims to bridge the gap between faith and character, outward knowledge and the inward experience of that knowledge.
Wadud lives in Dallas (the big D) with his wife and twin girls: Alishba and Jannah. Wadud completed his graduate studies in Leadership and Organizational Performance at Vanderbilt University, and leadership training at Harvard, IDEO, and the Neuroscience Academy. “This is such amazing class to attend because it gets you centered and gives you inner clarity and comfort... coming from an Islamic perspective, it felt safe to consume this study without having to filter out Buddhism or any non-Islamic thinking.”
Gemi Hartojo
“This is a life-changing class... I'm more present in my Salat, I'm practicing mindfulness on daily basis using some of Br. Wadud's practices, and I'm approaching life from being energy rather than doing energy, AND... I'm able to accomplish more!”
Amal Essader
“This Mindfulness Masterclass is the only class that provides the Islamic perspectives and contexts and supported by specific verses of the Quran. Wadud has a unique blend of knowledge on Islam and psychology as well as his actual experience on the subject matter which makes him the right person to teach this masterclass.”
Fariza Ahmed
