Last night we had the honour of having a very interesting discussion with Professor Rafik Beekun of The Islamic Workplace. We spoke about the characteristics of an Islamic workplace and how to bring them practically to every day work.
Dr. Rafik Beekun is Professor of Management and Strategy and former chair of the Managerial Sciences Department at the University of Nevada. He obtained his M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas, and his B.A. and M.A. from Columbia University, New York.
Dr. Beekun has published in many academic journals and is the author of 4 books. His book, Islamic Business Ethics, was published by the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), and has been translated in several languages. He co-authored another book with Dr. Jamal Badawi titled Leadership: An Islamic Perspective.
