  1. Asalm ALykum ..Okay so first of all i wanna say Jazak ALlah because this is something i feel like its written for me though i am not a women or a mother i am 17 year old Girl but i am so tensed about my goals i started so many things at a time and almost 60% related to Quran so i can not quit 1 to do other so obviously i have to do all with balanced timing but your Article made me so relaxed i was so worried i mean if i died and all these goals remain incomplete what would happen but seriously sister you really really Helped me Alot Jazak ALlahu Khair .May You Be Honeyed By ALlah SUbhan ALla wa Ta ALlah! Ameen!

  2. As salaam alaikum wa rahmutullah wa barkatahu sister,
A really very beautiful and inspiring article, mashallah. I am a mother of two kids and this article hit me in the right spot. We women have really forgotten the art of relaxation. Inshallah from now onwards I will spend some time just to relax in the right way and also become closer to Allah Taala. Jazaak Allah Khair and may Allah bless you. The zikr way of relaxing is so true and really wonderful. If made a regular practice it can really help transform oneself. Thanks again for a really good article.

    • Colouring really is a great way to relax! Especially with the new ‘grown-up’ colouring books which are on the market these days. Pondering life whilst looking at the sky is also wonderful – sub han Allah.

  3. Beautiful article. I will share with my dear ones.
Very thankful for such a lovely guide to relax and enjoy life the greatest gift of Allah SWT !

  4. Masha Allah very nice reminder. For me, me time also or relaxing time is listening to quran whenever you too tired to read, just lay down and listen to your favorite recitor and spray some lavender on bed till you fell asleep, you can also put some cucumber on your eyes as you wake up you feel rejuvenate and fresh :)

  5. i always listen to music whenever i feel stress with house chores. i helps a lot minimize the pressure i feel in my heart as a mum of 2 active kids.

  6. Masha Allah .good article.

Truly .with modern day activities we have forgotten to have an individual space and connect to almighty. Indeed there is no best way above zikr to releive stress. Apart from zikr one needs to go out for a morning walk or an evening stroll after dinner in a green place such as park or a lawn, individual or with family,
Greenery makes your mind calm and indeed u will forget ur worries being relaxed at least for a while in your busy life

  7. Very benefitial article.

In fact doing things which bring us closer to Allah(S) like falling into sajdah and watching islamic lectures in order to gain knowledge and improve ourselves are great relaxation.

  8. MashaAllah!! Much needed article.
May Allah give us Taufeq to ponder about it and get much for our actions.
    JzakaAllah for sharing.

  9. Alhamdulillah, encouraging Article nd well motivating,., reciting quaran with tafseer, listening hadith nd reading productive Articles those are best way of relaxtion of mine…Barakh Allahu feekhum

  10. What i find most relaxing for me is Taking long walks, and while doing so marvelling at the creations of Allah, reading books and spending time out with sisters

  11. Jazaakumullaahu khair.

As for me, I really love going outdoors, and be surrounded by nature.
Beach, river, forest, mountains.. You name it (=

  12. Assalamu alaikum Wa rahmatullahi Wa barakatuhu
after reading ur article felt so relaxed and happy realising that reading good informative articles are also a source of complete relaxation.
For relaxation I prefer doing azkaars as much as I can and memorizing Surah’s besides sleeping.
    Jazak Allahu khairan

    • Walaykum alsalam wa rahmat Allah

Gardening is a great way to keep fit too.

Glad you enjoyed the article alhamdulilah.

  13. Assalaamu alaikum. jazaakumullah khayr for this really helpful piece. I relax better when I sleep, spend time alone by.. any water body I can find. (cant always be at the beach, that would have been best), or under a tree watching clouds and listening to the sound of birds and other animals. :)

  14. Duahs, Tawakul on Allah and 2 rakaat of Tahajjjud before Adhan of Fajr talking to our real friend, Allah pouring our heart to Him in the stillness of the night makes us feel calmer and more energetic to do our endless chores.

    • Yes Sr. Rose you’re right. Alhamdulilah that stillness of the night also feels very exclusive – a blessing to be awake at that time.

  15. Great tips. If you stick to your Fajr prayers and if you also can stick to Tahajjud you are done! You become the winner, alhamdulillah Islam has all the solutions and it is our fault for not taking heed. May Allah send down His Baraqah and Mercy in our Time, aameen.

    • Assalamu alaykum Fathima

You are absolutely right: Islam definitely has all of the solutions. Jazak Allahu khayr for the reminder.

      Ameen.

  16. Great artivle. I really enjoyed reading the tips carefully one by one. I can’t express the inspiration I got from it. May Allah reward you for
The time you spebt into puting this together.
    Wa salam

  17. Asalamualaikum, jazakallah khair for a awesome piece of advice. Usually i use to go for a walk or i listen to quran ( surah qasas n surah yaseen) it takes all my worries. I feel refresh again to handle my life.

  18. Asalam Alaikum, the idea of taking spa as a form of relaxation sounds nice. Is it really ‘okay’ in our religion? ‘Cause there are others who told me it’s not a good idea. Jazaki Allah khair for sharing those tips.

    • Walaykum asslam Sr. Maryam

Jazak Allahu khayr for raising the good point.

To clarify: of course any activity in the spa which would involve the spa workers seeing the awra of the client is haram. But there are halal options in the spa such as facials, manicures, pedicures (it is not necessary to apply nail varnish), head massage. I think some spa facilities also have swimming pools – so as long as there is segregation between men and women then in sha Allah the swimming is halal too.

  19. SUGGESTIONS GIVEN ABOVE ,MASHAALLAAAH , ARE GOOD .
CULTURALLY SPEAKING , ESPECIALLY IN INDIA & PAKISTAN , ARE OVERPROTECTED AND CONFINED TO INDOORS . THEY ARE PERMITTED TO GO OUT FOR STROLL , PICNIC . HOW TO HANDLE SUCH SITUATIONS WHEN PARENTS OR CHILDREN OR FEMALES ARE BOUND TO STAY AT HOME . FEMALES IN PAKISTAN ARE FUSTRATED , ESPECIALLY HOUSEWIVES , ALL DAY THEY DO THE MONOTOUS HOUSEHOLD WORK . MENTALLY THEY TURN HALT , HEARTLY THEIR SPIRITS ARE DOWN .WHAT SHOULD A FEMALE DO IN SUCH FAMILY PRESSURE OR RESTRAIN

  20. Jazak Allahu khayrrr… This is v helpful… My major problem with everything I do is procrastination, and I r do hope Allah clears me of that. Thanks again

  21. Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatulahi, Jazakillah Khair for this wonderful article & reminder… It’s true that when you consciously ignore your cell/Internet that I feel more calm & clearheaded to do other tasks. Nature is also a important part of relaxation, ultimately it leads to the conclusion & contemplation of Allah (SWT) for his infinite wisdom in motion (creations). Then everything else you must admit falls in place & full acceptance that NOTHING happens except by the will of Allah (SWT). He will not forsake the believers… Alhamdulillah. There’s calm once again.
